Michael Lutz

Michael Lutz holds a MSc degree in landscape ecology and a PhD in geoinformatics from the University of Münster, Germany. He has 15 years of experience in the areas of semantic modelling of data and processes to support the discovery, access, use and integration of geographic information. Michael is the technical coordinator of the implementation and maintenance of the "Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe (INSPIRE)". In the framework of EU ISA and ISA2 programmes on "Interoperability Solutions for European public administrations, businesses and citizens", he is also working on how INSPIRE principles, tools and guidelines can be used in other sectors, in particular e-government.
